- Passive immunity system
It is that system which is not innately present in the body rather borrowed from other sources. It doesn’t last long. Like, a newborn baby gets antibodies from the mother through placenta or breastfeeding.
How does the immunity system work?
The immunity system can easily identify between the body’s original cells and foreign cells. It does so by detecting the proteins on the surface of the cells. Own cell is ignored and the foreign cell is attacked. Once an antibody is created a copy of it remains in the body. So if the same pathogen enters, it can be dealt with rapidly.
